I love this comment, Nhan — thank you for writing.

While I am not a gamer myself, I see a lot of benefits to the activity from the outside looking in. Going overboard on anything has its issues, right?

Going back to my days as an athlete competing in elite international canoeing events, as I got better, I had to get smarter. To do this, I couldn’t just immerse myself in the activity all day and expect that would happen.

But I still have one question, Nham — you mentioned you cut down. Did you do this by eliminating what was perceived to be a distraction or did find a positive alternative with which to replace that time?
