You mentioned “checklists,” which is exactly what moves me to the start line every day. I wrote about it here in this Medium Post

I was just meeting with a collegiate track and field athlete this morning — we spoke about this checklist. It’s so easy to get caught up in finish lines, goals, and all the other things we don’t currently have now but want now.

Finish lines and results reach for elusive destinations. Start lines cultivate a process using what you have right now — today — to start moving the ball forward.
