Thank you Kevin — it wasn’t, and often still isn’t, easy for me either. But, when I look at my own low points in this area a few years ago compared to my my life and choices today, I can hardly recognize my old self.
My thought here is that it’s never a destination. You don’t get to a place, exhale, look around, and say, “Whew, glad I made it here!”
Rather slowly, you begin to notice progress. And the further you get down that road, you realize there’s always room to get better. And that’s the joy in the process — getting a little better.
And when I slip, it’s just acknowledging the slip and lining up on the start line again.
