A social media influencer I know craves your attention. He contributes some goodness to the world. He never lacks motivation or ideas that appear to make people feel good in the current moment. His company provides a paycheck for many people.

As his popularity grows, so does his confidence.

He needs his tactics to become your tactics.
He needs his endgame to become your endgame.

In a room of two or 20,000 people, his is the dominant voice.

This is not a bad thing… until his voice tramples your voice. Or worse, his voice becomes your voice.

Until your voice is in the mix, the transition from complicated to simple does not begin.

Your confident voice is not what the influencer wants to hear. It is a threat to the noise he makes. Your confident voice threatens every form of noise.

In fact, he and all forms of noise are in a tenuous position.

In your hand rests a remote. It has an “off” switch.

With gratitude,

-Joe
